Even
Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, the Legendary Sarod maestro was
impressed with her dedication – She is Sudeshna.
SUDESHNA
BHATTACHARYA, Disciple and daughter of Sri Krishnamohan
Bhattacharya, is now talk of the town. Her musical heredity
came from her grandfather Late Biswanath Bhattacharya,
disciple of Ustad Amir Khan Saheb (Sarodia); emphasised
in tune with melody and rhythm at an early age of four.

After taking prior permission from
late Radhikamohan Moitra, her father given the abecedary
and extensive training in Sarod. From the beginning
she had motivated herself in hard work and training.
In the second phase she received the talim from Pandit
Budhadev Dasgupta, of repute. She was honoured by
National Scholarship (Junior) from C.C.R.T. from the
year of 1984 to 1994.

In
the year of 1984, finally she joined in the Gurukul
of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and GANDA BANDHAN was held in
the year 1995, and till the matter go to the press she
is working and working with her musical identity.

She
was also honoured by the National Scholarship
(Senior) from 1996 to 1998 and also received
Gold Medal from Pt. Shyam Ganguly at the music
competition of Ganguly College of Music.
SUDESHNA, being a Graduate of Calcutta University
completed musical diploma “SANGEET – VISHARAD”
(Chandigarh) with high distinction.In
the several occasion, held by Railway Inter
Cultural Competition she had participated
and highly praised by audience as well as
by judges.

She
was one of the proud member of the orchestra
team of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan’s “Sound
of India”, by sports ministry (WB) and
“Tribute of Bengal” held for Chief Minister’s
relief fund and the cassette released
by “Sruti”.
Her conception in laya and tala
and modulation of “Srutis” attracts all.
Her pattern of Bolkari even rather difficult
mode are presented spontaneously in her
own style of absolute natural with improvisation
of “Sur-tal-laya” perfectly blended. She
has participated in many Music Conferences
throughout India and those are highly
accepted by the audience.

| Her
tonal quality reflects the essence of Purity
of Sarod, and the superb skill of composition
flourishes in the several occasion. Her recital
of Sarod Playing was broadcast by All India
Radio and telecast by the Doordarshan. She is
now a busy artist in the field of Commercial
Work with renowned Music – Director. She is
making tour in all over Europe every year: Belgium,
France, Norway, Sweaden, Switzerland, Germany,
Denmark, Italy etc.
