MERINOFLEX
Messy
seams around laminated surfaces are now things of the past. Merinoflex, another
innovation in the pursuit of excellence from Merino, is a postforming laminate
intended for use on vertical and horizontal interior surfaces where it is
necessary that the laminate rolls in a simple radius over the edges of the
substrate. The result – no seams around corners and a smooth, evenly
laminated, attractive surface.
Merinoflex
adds the decorative capability of the soft edge to any typical laminate use.
Formed edges for counters, desktops, cabinet doors and drawer panels are
familiar applications of postforming laminates.
Merinoflex
must be bonded to a substrate of reliable quality, such as particle board,
medium density fibre board, or plywood. For best result, follow the techniques
recommended by the adhesive manufacturer. Take care to assure an appropriate
moisture balance between the laminate and the substrate prior to fabrication.
The face and back of laminates as well as substrates should be conditioned in
the same environment for 48 hours before fabrication. The recommended
conditioning temprature is 75ºF
(24ºC)
and relative humidity is about 45%.
