Disconnection of Phones for non-payment and its Reconnection

If a bill is not paid, a phone line is disconnected after 35 days from the Bill date.  A phone line is not disconnected on a day if the following day is a Saturday or a holiday.  For the 1st 15 days after disconnection for non-payment, only the outgoing calls are stopped; then all calls are blocked.  After disconnection, a phone is reconnected on payment of all outstanding dues.  Reconnection fee of Rs. 100/- is levied in the subsequent bill.  If the dues are not paid within six months from the date of disconnection, the phone connection is treated as Permanently Closed.  Restoration, thereafter, is subject to sanction of Competent Authority.  Rental charge for the period the phone remains disconnected on account of non-payment of dues, shall be borne by the subscriber.

Even after paying phone bill, if your phone gets disconnected, inform by dialing “151’.  The Service is FREE and your phone will be reconnected on the same day.
