
Arnab Bandyopadhaya , an artiste par excellence, is an aficionado of Indian Classical and Contemporary dance. With years of perseverance and rigorous training, he endeavors to justify his credentials and strive to popularize Indian Classical dance forms in the international arena. He is one the few dancers, who has been simultaneously trained in two most beautiful Indian Classical dance forms, Bharatanatyam and Odissi. Almost two decades into the world of dance, Arnab has successfully created a niche for himself, and has earned accolades from audiences home and abroad. A true dynamic dancer he constantly updates himself through various dance workshops and seminars. A mentor for many young talents, Arnab lends his teachings from his organization- Darpani and several other institutions. His contribution for the society at large can never be underestimated;
A connoisseur of Indian Classical dance, Arnab is a postgraduate in Bengali literature with a first class diploma in journalism. To mark his excellence in the domain of Indian Classical dance, Arnab has been conferred with various prestigious titles and awards including the ‘Sangeet Vibhakar’, ‘Sangeet Ratna’ and ‘Sangeet Prabor’ award by the Bangiya Sangeet Parisad.
Training :-
Arnab has had comprehensive training in Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of renowned exponent Smt. Anita Mallick and after that he specialised himself in odissi dance style. He started his training under famous Odissi exponent Smt. Sutapa Talukdar and then his talent has been nurtured by Padmabibhushan Guru Sri Kelucharan Mahapatra. He is now also doing some research work under guidance of famous Bharat Natyam teacher & choreographer Dr. Mamata Niyogi Nakra of Montreal.
