About Swami Pranavananda Gems & Jewellery Academy :

'Gems & Jewellery' has a great capacity to attract all the sections of society, be it rich or poor. This is the reason why this craft has been in demand and called the Queen of all the crafts. Gems & Jewellery provides an impressive fascinating subject for study; its origin is buried in antiquity. No matter how far back we go, archaeological finds reveal a wealth of ornaments and gems discovered individually or on figurines and statues. The tradition of "Gems & Jewellery" has indeed deep roots all over India with a number of important centres emerging as the focal points. Our state, West Bengal, is one of such points, it has been an important centre for jewellery making, setting & design, and it has a good taste for gems also. Considering the "Gems & Jewellery" sector as a source of employment and service for the growth of state economy and also the blessing of Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj (Founder of "Bharat Sevashram Sangha'), the establishment of the "Swami Pranavananda Gems & Jewellery Academy" was conceived and later put into effect. The Academy has been registered under the WBSR Act XXVI of 1961, Govt of West Bengal.

OBJECT:
The main object of the 'Academy' is to produce skilled technicians by imparting intensive vocational training for the progress of “Gems & Jewellery” trade and industry. The emphasis is to be given on market- oriented practical training .Theoretical knowledge to supplement the practical training is also to be imparted. The “Academy” will however take its utmost care who wishes to pursue their career as self-employment or professional in the field of Gems & Jewellery.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION:
The medium of instruction is Hindi, English, and Bengali. A working knowledge of Bengali is desirable

8. Gemmology	Certificate	4 months	January & July Session each year	Passed Madhyamik / Secondary Exam.
9. Gemstone Valuation	Certificate	1 month	First or third week of any month	Passed Madhyamik / Secondary Exam.
10. Jewellery Valuation	Certificate	1 month	First or third week of any month	Passed Madhyamik / Secondary Exam.

MODE OF PAYMENT:
Fees can be paid in two options a) Lump sum or b) Installment.
