Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI), Kolkata invites
applications for recruitment to the under mentioned posts. All
the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central
Government employees of similar status posted in Kolkata. The
posts requiring medical qualifications are strictly
non-practicing posts and
persons appointed to these posts are entitled to
non-practicing allowances.
The
CNCI is an autonomous organization under the administrative
control of Government of India, Ministry of Health & FW
and functions as Regional Cancer Centre. It has facilities for
modern cancer treatment with 200 indoor beds and state of the
art facilities for advanced cancer research.

-1 : Senior Scientific Officer, Gr.II : Eleven (11)

Educational
and other qualification:
Essential
– (1) A recognized medical qualification included in the
First or Second schedule or part II of the Third schedule
(other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications
included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill
the conditions stipulated in subsection (3) of Section (13) of
the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956;
OR Master’s degree in Biological Science /
Biochemistry / Physics / Biophysics / Organic Chemistry /
Pharmacology / Epidemiology / Physiology / Molecular Biology /
Biotechnology etc. from recognized University. (2) M.D. or
Ph.D in relevant subject. Age limit - Not exceeding 35 years.

– (1) A basic degree in Science from a recognized University
with Physics as one of the subjects, and (2) A post graduate

Medical Officer (GDMO): Two (2) posts (SC-1,UR-1)
Educational
and other qualification: (1) Essential- (i) A recognized
medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule

Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of

preferably in the disciplines of Radiotherapy, Surgery, ENT,

Rs. 8,000-275-13,500/-

Specialist Grade – II: Thirteen (13) posts

Educational
and other qualification:
Essential-
(1) essential qualification as for GDMO under post-3(i) above
(2) Recognized PG degree in relevant subject from a recognized
University/Institution (3) three years’ experience after
obtaining PG degree. For Specialist Cardiology – recognized
PG qualification in the relevant subject and DM (Cardiology) -
3 years experience after obtaining PG qualifications. Age
limit – not exceeding 40 yrs; Pay scale – Rs.
10,000-325-15,200/-.
One
of the above posts is reserved for Physically Handicapped
candidates as identified for the physically handicapped
persons in Group ‘A’ post by Government of India. Age for
all the posts is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years
for OBC and 5 years in case of PH candidates (10 years for PH
- SCs/STs and 8 yrs for PH-OBC) for the posts reserved for
them. Age is also relaxable for Government servants upto 5
years in accordance with the instruction or orders of the
Government of India. The crucial date for determining the age

The Director, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute invites an Walk-in Interview on 30th May, 2008 at 3 p.m. in the Seminar Hall, 5th floor of the Research Centre for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow in a CSIR sponsored project, “Selenium for alleviating the side effects of cancer chemotherapy: Synthesis and evaluation of the preventive activity of some organo selenocyanates against cyclophosphamide and cisplatin induced toxicity in mice” under Dr. Sudin Bhattacharya (PI). The duration of the fellowship is co-terminus with the project and may be renewed on yearly basis depending on the progress of the work.
Essential qualifications: i) Minimum 55% marks in M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic/Inorganic)/ Biochemistry/ Physiology/Zoology. ii) GATE/NET
Age limit: 28 years, relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman candidates.
Fellowship at present: Rs. 8000/-pm + admissible allowances as per rule. Fellowship may be enhanced subjected to the approval from CSIR

The last date of opening of the technical bids vide Adv. No.: 273/2008 of dated 26/03/08 in the Indian Trade Journal is extended up to 15/05/08. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on that day at 2:30 PM in the 5th floor auditorium of CNCI Research building. Opening of price bids of eligible tenders will be intimated separately. The
Director, CNCI invites sealed Tenders from reputed
International/National manufacturers or their authorized
representatives in India in prescribed non-transferable tender
forms for procurement of following sophisticated equipments
with accessories: (1) Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, (2)
LC-MS-MS Spectroscopy, (3) Liquid Nitrogen Plant, (4)
Ultracentrifuge, (5) Laser capture Microdissection, (6)
Ultrasonic Aspirator, (7) High End Colour Doppler
Ultrasonography Machine.
The
instruments are to be submitted in Two-Bid pattern i.e
Techno-commercial Bid and Price-Bid in two separate sealed
covers distinctly marked accordingly and both to be put inside
another envelop, which should be sealed and superscribed with
tender reference no., due date and time of opening. Two bids
i.e. Techno-commercial Bid and Price-Bid should be identical
in all respect except the Techno-commercial Bid should have
blank space at the places where prices have been stated in the
Price-Bid. The tender fee for this category is Rs. 1000/ (non
refundable) in the form of A/c payee D/D in favour of the
"Director, CNCI, Kolkata" payable at Kolkata.
The
prescribed non-transferable tender forms with detail
specifications for the above instruments with terms and
conditions may be obtained from purchase section research
building (6th floor) on any working day between 11:30 am to
2:30 pm on payment of tender fee for the respective category.
The
Techno-commercial Bid and Price-Bid must reach the purchase
section by 12:30 pm of 15.4.2008
. The Techno-commercial Bid will be opened on the same day at
2.30 pm in the 5th Floor Auditorium of Research Building.
Opening of Price-Bid of eligible tenderers will be intimated
separately. Director, CNCI reserves the right to accept or
reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason.
