Reshmi
was born in a musical family. Dance has been her first love
from the tender age of five.
Reshmi was grown up in an ambience of music and dance. She
started learning dance at the age of 7 years under the able
guidance of GURU GIRIDHARI NA YAK.
She was the beloved
desciple of Padmabhusan SHRI KELUCHARAN MAHAPATRA Reshmi is
one of the dancers who performs pure Odissi dance to a musical
raga. Her body posture are similar to temple sculptures. She
performed in BANGLADESH and widely in different states of
India, and she has won many awards from many prestigious festival
in India. She received GOLD MEDAL from Nikhil Bharat Sangeet
Samiti. Her ardent love and devotion for this dance form brought
special distinction in the field . GOVERNMENT OF INDIA awarded
her ALL INDIA SCHOLARSHIP to continue further studies and
research in Odissi recitals. Besides being she is an eminent
teacher and an excellent dancer, she now runs a DANCE and
MUSIC SCHOOL called " HINDOL".
She
