Bishoke was initially taught by Acharya Birendra Kishore Roy Chowdhury, Renouned Rudra-Veena player .

At first, Bishoke was inspired by his guru Acharya Birendra Kishore Roy Chowdhury. After his passing away Bishoke was greatly inspired by his elder sister Mira Sil (Pain), London, and Gobindo Adhikari . An immense inspiration came from Dr. Arun Kumar Sil, his elder brother. Shri Shiv Kumar Roy Chowdhury, a disciple of Late Birendra Kishore Roy Chowdhury, also guiding him at present.
