Pinaki Chaudhuri (b. 1940) from his very childhood had a bent towards fine arts. He started film direction in the year 1980 with the feature film "CHENA ACHENA" . There-after he made number of films. In the year 1990, Pinaki targeted a wide viewership by directing a Hindi Telefilm ‘NARAK’ in 35mm format for the National Network of Doordarshan.
