a) PSPP is committed to the spread
and development of EDUCATION among the masses. PSPP
runs an affiliated college of Vangiya Sanskrita
Siksha Parisad, Govt. of West Bengal, and Rashtriya
Sanskrit Sansthan Govt. of India (DEEMED UNIVERSITY)
for popularizing Sanskrit language through
graded courses like ADYA, MADHYA, UPADHI (equivalent
to M.A.), and SHASTRI & ACHARYA. PSPP prepares students
for those examinations as per syllabus prescribed by
the Govt. of West Bengal.
b) PSPP enjoys
affiliation of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, a deemed
University under H.R.D. Ministry, Govt. of India and
conducts their graded courses of 'Non-formal Sanskrit
Education along with SHASTRI and ACHARYA through 33
centres spread over different parts of WEST BENGAL.
Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is also considering the
matter of introducing B.Ed, course for training Sanskrit
teachers through PSPP.
c) PSPP conducts
other courses in languages like English, Esperanto,
besides professional courses in Jyotish, Pourahitya,
etc. in which certificares are awarded.
d) Teachers of
non-formal Sanskrit education receive training from
this institution. Parisad is also giving exclusive training
to SANSKRIT TEACHERS of the secondary schools of our
state.
e) About 12,000
students in different courses have come out successful
under the guidance and direct training of PSPP so far.
f) PSPP gives regular
scholarships to deserving students.
g) PSPP is now
actively engaged in establishing UNIVERSITY FOR ORIENTAL
STUDIES in a place near Kolkata with the support of
H.R.D. Ministry, Govt. of India. Sufficient amount of
land has already been earmarked.
h) PSPP has library
of its own with a good number of books, including some
rare books in Sanskrit and manuscripts. The library
is helpful for the students and also for the research
scholars.
i) PSPP holds occasional
training camps for English and Sanskrit teachers.
