An unique type of oil resistant putty for effective, cost efficient, repair and maintance to any type of oil leakage. This is prompt in repairing and sets immediately at ambient/room temperature. The product has a very good Physical and Chemical resistance property.

Chemical Resistant Properties :
Excellent resistant to alkalies, moderate resistant to inorganic acids like sulphuric , hydrochloric acid, high resistant to organic acids and very high resistant to humidity, atmospheric action, oil and any salts.
   
Precaution :
1. Proper care should be taken in handling these ingredients. If they come in contact with skin, the same should be immediately removed with cotton waste and washed with soap and water.
2. It is essential to clean all the tools after use with mixed solvent. Once cured, it is impossible to remove the waste material.
3. The compound can stick to any oily surface. The surface that needs repairing and coating must be thoroughly cleaned. Rust or any loose must be removed from the surface by a steel brush
.

Storage :
All packages should be kept under dry shady place under room temperature. Preferably they should be consumed within a year of manufacture.

Guidelines
Surface preparation:

Proper surface preparation is essential to give a successful results : a) Surfaces must be oil free, roughened by grit blasting or by grinding with a coarse wheel. A wire brush or wheel may be used for the same, b) All abrasive preparation should be preceded or followed by chemical cleaning with cleaner conditioner to remove all traces of oil, grease dust or other substances.

Mixing:

At first stair well the compound fully then add the curing agent proportionately and mix; with the spatula for approximate 2-3 minutes. DO NOT MIX ON THE CONTAINERS. Use 4 flat and clean surface mixing board for better mixing.

Mixing ratio by volume : One large spoonful(leveled) Compound with one small spoonful Curing Agent

Application :

For better results, products should be kept and applied at room temperature. Hardening starts as soon as hardener is mixed with the compound. So the application of the thoroughly mixed compound on the pretreated surface must be done quickly well before the end of its pot life (which is 40 min) to obtain the good wettability property. The same will harden- within 3 to 4 hours but full curing takes place in 24 hours. When temperatures are below 21°C, cure and pot life will be longer, and above room temperature, cure and pot life will be shorter.

All tools after use should be cleaned with cleaning splvent( i.e. Xylene, Tolune, acetone) before the mixed compound is hardened. Once cured, it is impossible to dissolve in any solvent.

Precaution:

Mixing of the ingredients and application should be done by a spatula and not by hand. If the
ingredients come in contacts with skin, it must be removed with soap and water within its pot
life.

Storage:


All packages should be kept under dry, copl and in shade. Preferably they should be consumed .
within a year of manufacture.

To remove grease or oil, use cleaning agent or any degreasing agent To improved the adhesion to maximum, the surface should be roughened or abraded.

Cold Welding Compounds

Plastic Steel and other plastic metals are epoxy based metal filled compounds in Plastic State duting application, but when cured they resemble a metal possessing high physical properties like that of a metal. The product has been manufactured from indigenous ingredients and they have gained enormous popularity and have been proved indispensable among the Government and private Industrial Houses.

These products are most versatile and have unique combination of high Adhesive strength, high physical strength, and very high chemical and weather resistant properties and excellent electrical properties.

These combinations of various properties have made the products unparalled and most suitable for industrial use . These products can bond any metal or any non-metallic solid material with a bounding strength to the range of 2000 to 3000 psi which perhaps is the best obtainable in the contemporary Plastic technology. When cured the products have tensile strength to the order of 9,000 to 13,000 psi , Hardness 100 to 110 Rockwell M, surpassing that of any other type of casting resin.

Product Details

S-1 Plastic Steel Putty
Non sagging type compound used as modeling clay for salvaging ferrous castings. It is a metal filled epoxy putty used for routine repair and maintenance, rebuilding shafts and metal castings.

S-2 Plastic Steel Liquid
Steel filled liquid epoxy used for casting models for accurate detail reproduction when making holding fixtures and light-gauge forming dyes. It can be poured due to low velocity.It is especially used for plastic tooling , contour masters , jigs and fixtures.

S-3 / HR Heat Resistant type
Consistency is same as Type S-1 but used where normal working temperature is more than 100°C but less than 210°C. This must be post cured at 100°C for 20 to 25 minutes to obtain maximum heat resistant property.
   
S-4 / WR Wear Resistant Type
Smooth, non-rusting, wear resistant and self-lubricating, all-purpose epoxy putty for repairs requiring friction finishes. It is used for building up pump shafts, making special surfaces and for general repair where the repaired surface is subject to sliding friction.

S-5 Quick Setting Type
Fast curing , steel filled epoxy for dependable emergency repairs , as it hardens in 15 to 20 minutes. It is used for sealing leaks and cracks in running pipes in operations where fast curing is required especially in oil and gas pipelines.

A-1 Plastic Aluminium Putty
Aluminium filled epoxy putty for dependable non-rusting repairs to aluminium casting , machinery and equipment . It is used for repairs where aluminium finish is desired.
   
A-2 Plastic Aluminium Liquid
Aluminium filled pourable epoxy due to low viscosity. It is ideal for making models, patterns, holding fixtures and foundry patterns

BZ Plastic Bronze Putty
Bronze filled epoxy putty for repairing bronze and brass bushings, shafts , castings and equipment parts. It is ideal for repairs where bronze appearance is required.

L-1 Plastic Lead Putty
Applicable for repairing Lead Lined tanks of phospheric acid or pipes ; and to seal the joints of electric power and telephone cables.
   
L-2 Plastic Lead Liquid
Properties are similar to Type L-1 , but due to low viscosity can be easily applied by a brush.

Car-1 Plastic Carbide Putty
It contains carbide particles and after curing it becomes toughest abrasion resistant hard mass which is quite impossible to machine. Applicable for lining dredge and slurry pump-casings, pipes, chutes and other areas subject to severe abrasion.

Car-2 Plastic Carbide Liquid
Applications are similar to Car-1 , but due to low viscosity , it can be poured or applied easily with a brush on the desired surface.
   
Coating Compounds

Protecoat (C)
A two-component epoxy based excellent chemical resistant Compound. It hardens to a smooth , dense , ceramic like surface that cleans easily. Easy to use with brush to spray. It has tremendous adhesion to the metal and the concrete contains a special wetting agent that increases penetration and adhesion. Highly resistant to alkalies, moderately resistant to acids and excellent resistant to salts and organic chemicalls. Used to protect plants, machinery and accessories in mining, fertilizer and chemical industries. Also used in tanks, outdoor railings and structure subject to weather and chemical actions. Outlasts conventional paint atleast by three times.
