Liposuction is a method of removal of excess body fat from localised areas like chin, breast, arm, abdomen, stomach area, thigh, buttock, calf & ankle.
This is commonly done by Tumusent Technique, i.e. normal saline is injected over localised areas before suction which breaks fat gobules, then sucked out with powerful suction machine.
Body fat which can not be reduced by diet & exercise is amneble to suction. After the procedure pressure garment is given for 2 weeks.
This is done under general anaesthesia and upto 5 - 6 lits. can be removed at a time. Small or single areas can be done under local anaesthesia. Patient is discharged on the same day of the surgery.
