DURGANAGAR
VIVEKANANDA MEMORIAL SOCIETY
(DVMS) was formed in the year 1995 by a group of dedicated
social and cultural activists & educational interested
persons of Durganagar.
Without
whom this noble work does not come to existence that was Indrani
Debnath, promising newsreader of Kolkata Doordarshan as well
as popular anchor in F.M., A.I.R., CTVN. She was an M.A. in
Dhupad Sangeet and joined as recitation teacher in Vivekananda
Model School and gradually led the Cultural Revolution in
Vivekananda Model School and became the secretary of
DURGANAGAR
VIVEKANANDA MEMORIAL SOCIETY. Unfortunately we lost her in
an accident on 20th Dec. 2001.

VIVEKANANDA MEMORIAL SOCIETY (DVMS) is registered under the
W.B. Societies' Registration Act XXVI of 1961 in 1995.
We are engaged for launching a comprehensive social action
for an alternative for rural movement towards all round development
through development of human
resourses, gender justice and
equality, poverty alleviation, self initiative with active
community participation based on the philosophy of
Swami
Vivekananda.

We visualize
an exploitation free civil society where people of all community
live with peace, justice, prosperity and enjoy their basic
human rights for empowerment.
Mission:
To spread education
and make aware all about their basic human rights and develop
human resources for undertaking community action plan and
implementation for sustainable and equitable and quality livelihood
in all respects. |

Aims
& Objective:
To
eradicate the curse of illiteracy, ignorance, evils of superstitions
& social stigma through spread of education and development
of Human Resource.
To
develop capacity, skill and leadership of the community specially
of the women who are representing a family / a society on
self-governance and management
To
develop the community with its available resources and infrastructure
to ensure education, health, income and employment which will
change the world at large.
To
improve life-style, knowledge base, awareness of freedom,
to encourage the population for better access to all the way
like education, health care, vocational training, games &
sports for orphans, destitute, handicapped, working children,
women & child in different circumstances.
To
uphold the Indian Culture and provide safe guard and protection
from westernization through research and promotion. |
