make Rotameter are precision flow rate measuring instruments designed
on the variable area principle using tapered tubes . The float used
in the tube resists the flow of fluid passing through the space
between the tube and head of the float . The float when in equilibrium
indicates flow rate of fluid which can be observed by an external
scale fitted by the side of tube .
