S. B. Scientific Works was setup by Late Sushil Kumar Basu in the year 1956. From a small beginning it has, over the years, expanded and now caters to the need of customers belonging to diverse scientific fields.

During the initial years, the firm was primarily engaged in laboratory chemicals, biological materials and laboratory equipment. After a fair degree of consolidation, the firm already diversified to marketing and manufacturing multiproducts ranging from chemicals to anything that is required in sophisticated laboratories and industries.

The firm has now ventured into export.
