The concept
of ‘TEMPSHIELD’ Insulated Glass comes from the conception of low conductivity
of the DRY AIR. To achieve the insulation property along with transparency,
the glass panes are used to sandwich the dry air. As per the availability
of the glasses a number of combinations may be used as per requirement.
The Insulated Glass can be also be used for Acoustical Treatments. The approximate
reduction of noise level of Insulated Glass Units are 30 dB. Using the proper
combination & type of glasses the energy conservation can be achieved upto
70% and the Direct Transmission of energy can be reduced to 30% maximum.
What is Insulated
Glass?
A combination of two glasses (on special occasion, 3 or 4 sheets are used)
with desiccant filled spacer(s) in between the glasses to avoid dew condensation
on the window. Twice the insulating quality compared to a single flat glass,
and prevents loss of room temperature caused by considerable temperature
differences from the outside, resulting in low energy consumption along
with savings on energy cost for heating and air conditioning.
Insertion of gas, suspension of heat reflective film in the air space accomplish
an even higher level of insulation.
