Our
Profile : The Indo-Japan
Welfare and Cultural Association (IJWCA), located in a posh
locality of Kolkata (Calcutta), with its own three two-storied
buildings inherited from the Seaman's Employment Center of Japan
for promoting cultural relations between India and Japan and
also for the welfare of the Indian people.

2) The Indo-Japan Language Studies Society

1) Ikenobo Calcutta Chapter of the Ikenobo Floral Art Society,
Kyoto
2) Eastern India Japanese Language Teachers' Association
3) Bharat-Nippon Maitree Sangha (India-Japan friendship society)
Our
Main Activities :
1) Japanese Language Teaching
2) Teaching Japanology (Japan's Cultural History for general
students
and research students for Ph.D. of any university.
3) Extending library / Reading Room facilities to the Japanese
language course
students and persons interested in Japan.
4) Holding Cultural functions either independently or in association
with the
Consulate-General of Japan or involving our sub-organizations.
5) We are the host institution for holding Japanese Language
Proficiency Test (Noryoku shiken)
from 1998 for eastern India
6) Holding Eastern India Japanese Language Speech Contest
7) Hosting Seminars on Japanese Language Teaching sponsored
by The Japan Foundation and supported by the Consulate-General
of Japan
8 )Holding different other functions - on Japanese language
and culture oriented subjects.
9)Publishing suitable books on Japan.
