of famous doctor (Dr. Paul) of Chandannagar. Only child who started his career in
acting from the family. His first film “DADAR KIRTI” directed by veteran
Tarun Majumdar, was a smash hit. Then came “SAHEB” for which he got FILMFARE
AWARD. Acted in a Hindi film opposite Madhuri Dixit named “ABODH” of Rajshri
Production.

Dasgupta, Raja Sen, Anup Sengupta, Swapon Saha, Harnath Chakraborty, etc. Many
Golden Jubliee, and Silver Jubliee films were given by this talents
down-to-earth actor turned Member of Assembly from Alipore Area of Kolkata, West
Bengal.
