He
was born on 1st August 1942 in a zamindar family of Chittagong.
After completing the college education he finished the course of
Mokhtarship in 1959. Want to England tour with Mr. S. M. Majbor
Haque, the President of Krishek Samaj Perty, chittogong of the then
East Pakistan. From 1951 to 1961 he was working as a secretary to
Sheikh Mujiber Rahman, (the then Prime Minister of Bangladesh) when
he was working in Alpha General Insurance Co. Ramma, Dhaka during
Martial Law , as the general manager. He visited Japan during the
period to look after the work of Kawasaki Steel Corp., Osaka, Japan.
In
1961 Prof. Rupesh Chakraborty migrated to India and worked in a
bank – Indequip Ltd. As a secretary of Sri Anil Bhai Parekh.
In 1968 he joined Central glass Ceramic Research Institute (under
science & technology dept. Govt. of India) and retired as a
private secretary on 2002 July.
Since 1978 Prof. Chakraborty was engrossed in the astrology subject.
The Govt. of India permitted him to get actively involved in different
capacities like lecturer, visiting professor, vice president &
president in different astrological institutes.
He has been titled the Jyotish Samrat during 1980 from Paravidya
Mahavidyalaya, Delhi by the then president of India – Gyani
Jain Singh.
He has received the prestigious Pramethes Chandra Barna Award, Searchlight
Award and many other counted awards as of now.
During 2002 he was awarded the DEAN of Astrology by the Krishnamurthy
Institute of Astrology, Kolkata.

It
is almost 40 years that Prof. Chakraborty is engaged in Astrology
