Ratna Mukherjee – a leading name in the field of singing. She has started her career of singing at very early age of 8 years of her life . She took lesson under the guidance of Guru- Chinmoy Lahiri's disciple, Birendra Narayan Singh at Giridih.

In her early age she passed Sangeet Bisarad Examination from Bhatkhand University, under her Guru, Late Chinmoy Lahiri. She has been attached with Sangeet Research Academy (SRA) and was a student of Late A. T. Kanan in vocal music. Her academic qualification in music is quite sound.

She has stood 1st Class 2nd in Rabindra Sangeet from "Rabitirtha", a school of Tagore Music, under the guidance of Guru Smt. Suchitra Mitra. Further she has completed her 7th year, "Sangeet Ratna" Examination in Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti, from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad at Howrah, under Guru Subodh Ganguly amd Guru Bimal Bhusan Mukherjee respectively. She took lessons from Smt. Dipali Nag also, and established "Geetanjali Sangeet Vidyalaya" in 1983, giving education in Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti and Classical Music and privately teaches Rabindra Bharati Students also.

She is related with Tagore family as because Sushila Devi was her grandfather's mother. 

So her name is reckoned as one of the most perfectionists related to Rabindra Sangeet Singing. She has attained a very high value qualities in Rabindra Sangeet Singing through the process of many years. Besides Tagore Songs and vocal music, she also sings modern songs at present.

Performances - She is a member of "GANATANTRIK LEKHAK SHILPI SANGHA", and perform various type of Govt. Programe in various occassion in Kolkata for many years.
