DR.
SIDDHARTHA BANDYOPADHYAY maintains his professionalism in singing
as well as musical field. He was a student of R. G. Kar Medical
College & Hospital. While fulfilling his commitments as
a doctor he manages to bring out time to perform as a singer
in Doordarshan, Tara Bangla, Sonar Bangla, Bangla Akhon etc.
People have also admired / praised his music video. The
title song in the teleserial “SUKHER PAKHI” was sung by him.
Added to this he is a lyricist in the All India Radio.
There
is no fixed time for RIYAAZ but he sits everday whenever he
can. He specialises in Adhunik Bangla Gaan (Modern Bengali Songs),
Folk Songs and Nazrul Geeti and is among the frontrunners
of the Bengali music circuit. He does stage shows all over
the country as per his schedule.
He
inherited music culture from his mother and grandfather Dhrupad Shilpi Late Shri
Chandicharan
Bandopadhyay, one of the first batch of singers of the then HMV, and mother
Srimati Anupama Devi. His Guru in Classical music
was Pandit Harihar Sukla and then Sri Debiranjan Bandopadhyay. In modern songs
& folk:- music composer Prashanto Chowdhury. Cassettes are
released till date on Songs for Children, Adhunik, Bhaktigeeti (Spiritual
Songs), Folk Songs.

SIDDHARTHA BANDOPADHYAY says, “I feel priviledged to have the blessings and
guidance of Sri Manna Dey. His nephew Sri Sudeb Dey is my friend and brother
like with whom my latest album DUI JONE*** was released, the third one so far. His
next album will bring out the other part of his talent i.e. in Rabindra Sangeet
(Tagore Songs) & Bhaktigeeti (Spiritual Songs).
