mainstay of Indian economy is agriculture, and our overall
economic development is totally dependant on development in the
agricultural field. Now, excessive and indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers,
for the last 25 years or there about, has rendered our soil infertile
and acidic to a great extent. The residual effects of chemical
fertilizers in the end products are a definite health hazard,
and they are not fit for human consumption. The countries which
import food-grains and other agricultural products, have also
imposed a ban on products where chemical fertilizers have been
used.
Hence Bio-fertilizers, or in layman language organic manure
is the need of the day. |
