SUPER HEAT TREATMENT PLANT (SHP) is a KOLKATA based company which came into existence in the mid-eighties. From April, 1985 - to be precise - the company started its activities with the heat treatment of alloy steels, tool steels and high speed steels on a limited scale. Over the years the scopes, facilities and capacity of the company have increased to an enormous proportion TODAY SHP is well-equipped for heat treatment of almost all grades of steel and some popular grades of non-ferrous alloys.

HEAT TREATMENT FACILITIES (Special) :

• Gas Curburising (upto 3mm case depth with core / case refining)

• Nitriding (upto 0.6mm case depth in gas/ liquid medium application - cutting tools, dies, gears, automobile components, crankshafts etc.

• Induction Hardening (1mm - 15mm hardened depth. application - (rankshafts, gears, long shafts, workrolls / back up rolls for cold rolling etc.

• Cryogenic Cold Treating (-184^oc, Aim - Manifold increase in service life of tools / components. application - Cutting tools, Dies, Guages, Carbide tools, Gears etc.

PROCESS QUALITY CONTROL : Heat Treatment cycles with rigid thermal control, hardness evalution in general (Rockwell / Vickers - minimum load 5 Kg / Brinell / Poldi /Shore / Digital hardness Tester), Microstructural examination in special cases - all system parameters are closely monitored by a well - qualified METALLURGIST with the assistance of a team of experienced technicians.

CONSULTANCY : Free consultancy services are available to the customers for materials selection, testing and quality control and other technical aspects related to metallurgical discipline.
