About
Me: I feel that it is appropriate for
an Artist to offer some explanatory facts and Source about his works to his audience;
they must be given the choice of participation. With this thought in mind I
offer the following information in brief.
When
I wish to analyse an element of Nature, I start with an observation of the
structure. When I do this I find that nature has reflected geometrical and mathematical
laws in the use of forms. One can prove mathematically for example, that the
hexagonal cells of the honey comb contains the maximum honey, while the
utilisation of material is minimal.
I
am involved in a study of construction which is based on a number of simple
concepts derived from observation of nature and some understanding of
Mathematics. These concepts include economy of means and interrelatedness of
means. Thus, the material colour, rotation, Spiral movement, Stand in determined
relationship to one another, to form a unity which gives an aesthetic,
spiritual feeling. Which is more powerful the work which is the product of
unconstrained sentiment.
