The
thought process of an artist finds expression only in his or her
creative paintings which can attend perfection through intrinsic
values of the artist in conjunction with academic training and
discipline. Whatsoever it may be, technicalities and grammer of
drawing, tone, colour, texture and its applications on the
canvas should be obeyed faithfully by the artist. In that
respect Gita Bhattacharjee is one of those who takes keen
interest in understanding the form, its relative proportion and
planes without being scared of the hard labour that one has to
undergo to get the desired effect.
It
would be quite obvious from her works, that she had undergone
such training as could give confidence in the treatment of
delicate and broad touches and brilliant light grading off
through half-tone to dark in her naturalistic paintings. She is
neither timid nor over-daring with regard, to approach to her
subject. The judicious treatment and colour application of
techniques would be considered an asset for any artist who
believes in discipline in the field of Naturalistic
art.
