Delayed payment of service tax

Simple interest @ of 13% per annum for the period of delay on the amount by which crediting of tax or any part thereof is delayed.

Failure to pay service tax

In addition to paying S.T & Interest u/s.75 not less than one hundred rupees but which may extend to two hundred rupees for every day during the failure continues. However, the penalty shall not exceed the amount of service tax that the assessee has failed.

General penalty

Penalty which may extend to an amount not exceeding one thousand rupees.
