Vision :
Let us
understand what low vision means a visually impaired person has a
visual acuity not more than 6/18 in the better eye with best
corrected lens in place can not be corrected with medicine,
surgery, conventional spectacle lens. As such a stage visually
impaired person not enjoys good vision for distance as well as for
reading with or without glass.
Low vision is
not the same as blindness. Unlike a person who is blind and a
person with low vision has some useful sight.
As such a stage
it becomes necessary to provide different types of magnifying aids
(Low Vision Aids), which will enable that person to continue
reading, sewing or perform daily living task, to maintain
employment. |
