Experience

• In the childhood she has specialized herself with sketches. Her sketches were judged to be the best in graphic art section in two consecutive years (1958 and 1959) in 4^th and 5^th All India Women’s Exhibition of Calcutta Art Society, selected by Judges like Atul Bose, Rathin Mitra and others

• She conducted first solo exhibition of Sketches at Academy of Fine Arts in 1969, which was acclaimed by various Art Critics

• Group Exhibition of Paintings and Sketches at Academy of Fine Arts in 1970  and 1974

• Participated in Annual Exhibition of Academy of Fine Arts and Birla Academy

• Solo Exhibition at Academy of Fine Arts in 1980 and 2002  

• Participated in Annual Exhibition of Oriental Art Society & Behala Art Society .

• Participated in group exhibition of ' THE STUDIO ' at Academy of Fine Arts and Calcutta Information Centre in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.

 Presently her medium is Acrylic, her paintings are figurative and thematic. She is continuously experimenting different techniques.

As a Classical Musician

Disciple of Late Pandit V. G. Jog and presently under Prof. A. T. Kanan, she has specialized in Kheyal and Thumri. She has participated in various concerts and received appreciation from different artistes and admirers. In childhood she has stood first in various music competitions. She has number of disciples who are well trained and received appreciation in various functions.
