AEW Brand Sluice Valves

As per IS 780/2906 are standard cast iron inside screw, wedge gate valves for manual operation by cap or hand wheel and closing clockwise. They can be supplied for power operation or with gearing, by pass, indicator and locking other accessory requirements will be considered on enquiry.

Design:

Guides long guides in body and on wedge give support to the wedge throughout its travel.

Spindle – strong trapezoidal thread. Stuffing box- bolted to bonnet.

Hand wheel – fluted rim design.

Markings – standard requirements clearly marked

Materials:

Materials as illustrated cast iron ­equivalent to IS 210 Gr 20

Gun metal – IS 318 Gr. 2

Bronze – IS 320 Alloy 2 or IS 3488

Finish: Assemblies are protected internally and externally by black bituminous coating applied by a hot dip process.

Testing: All valves are machine tested on each face to the valve rating and on the body to the test pressure. "OPEN END" testing will be carried out when stated on the order.

Operation: The rating specified refers to the maximum permissible working pressure. Any operating differential pressure should be stated at time of enquiry/order so that operational requirements can be assessed.

Protection: Valves for export are shiped with protection discs on end flanges only.
