 Born
on 1st February 1936 in Calcutta. Lost father at an early age.
Brought up in maternal uncle’s house at Barisal, East Bengal. Passed M.A
(Drama), B.Com. worked in the capacity of Dy. Manager of Union Carbide India
Ltd. for long 30 years.
He
was attached with Rabindra Bharati University for 4 / 5 years and worked as a
lecturer in IITA on dramatic performance and articulation for some years. A
distinguished cultural personally of West Bengal. A member of esteemed
organization, IPTA for long 50 years. Famous in the field of Recitation, Drama,
Direction, Production and Acting. Performed Recitation programme in many
cassettes of IPTA & DYFI.
Participated
in about 200 dramas performance. Still an active participants of recitation and
drama-direction & popular lectures on drama etc. even at the age of 66
years.
Worked
with Sambhu Mitra, Utpal Dutt, Kumar Roy, Ajitesh Bandopadhya, Gnanesh
Mukhopadhyaya and many magnets of IPTA. Conducting recitation school ABRITTI
BICHITRA at own residence.
