Dear Colleague,
At the very outset, I extend
my warmest greetings for "Subha Naba Barsho"
for Bamgabda 1414.
The last year had been a turbulent
year in the history of IMA Calcutta Branch when we lost our
beloved Leader & President Dr. Asoke Ghosh, but still, it
was a year full of activity,
The Branch organized GPCON-2006
and ACADIMA-2006 successfully. We were also active participants
in movements for meritocracy father than reservation on caste
basis.
Most important achievement is organizing, 39 Sessions of Physicians
Training Initiative on HIV/AIDS Prevention & Treatment Awareness
Workshops in different parts of the state. Aao Gaon Chalein
Programme is also going on well.
The Elections for year -2007-08 were held peacefully and all
candidates were declared elected unopposed.
IMA Calcutta Branch is going to organize Calcutta Medical Conference
on 2nd & 3rd June 2007 and also celebrate "Doctors
Day" on 1st July 2007.
Engagement Diary for year 2007-2008 has been published on the
format advised by dept of Income Tax Form 3C. Members are requested
to collect the same from the office.
I believe that under the able leadership of Dr. (Miss) Urmila
Khanna, the year 2007-2008 will see newer heights.
