You have witnessed of yet another eventful year 2004-05. As-you
are aware, in spite of our limited resources we have tried our
best to keep the image of our Association high and to carry out
the activities with your active help and co-operation.
Membership drive: In this respect, we think,
the time has come, we should take some positive steps to enroll
more and more young doctors as members of IMA. I would appeal
to our members to extend their help and co-operation in this drive
so that we can fulfill a target of 2000 members during this year.
I would like to draw your kind attention to the fact that when
we take up members' protection and other interest of the medical
profession we expect that the medical professionals will do justice
to their patients so that they are not harassed as this brings
bad image to the medical profession. For any slightest lapse which
may not be fault of the medical personnel, the media and the interested
quarters are active in maligning the medical profession. Now the
time has come when we should remain united to thwart allY move
by any quarter.
