A handsome young talent who has not only excelled in Rabindra Sangeet, Najrul Geeti, Regional Folk, Modern Bengali songs and Hindi songs but has also been highly appreciated for his performance as an actor in various Television Serial, Soaps and Bengali Movies.

After having completed his schooling in Rabindra Sangeet from Rabindra Bharati University and thereafter being highly acclaimed by stalwarts like Kanika Bandopadhyay, Sanjoy went on to perform in various functions and concerts worldwide. From USA to Canada to Germany to UK to France to Holland to Spain and more, Sanjoy has left behind a fan following beyond imagination. Sanjoy received the prestigious R. D. Burman Award in 1997 and was later on July 22, 2000 made an Honourary Citizen of the city of Clarksville, Tennessee (USA), after having performed and highly praised at the Biswa Banga Sammelan in USA and Canada that very year.

In the year 2004 his fans in USA had the pleasure having him with them for the Mid-West Banga Sammelan in Kansas City as well as the Biswa Banga Sammelan at Baltimore, which were both successful beyond expectation.
