WHAT IS AQUAMID®?
The Aquamid* range of products for aesthetic improvement and correction is produced under the strict pharmaceutical requirements of Denmark. Aquamid® products are transparent hydrogels with the highest water content of any injectable at 97-5% and with 2.5% crosslinked polymers. A unique production technology ensures that the implanted hydrogel remains in place and does not diminish. The water content of the hydrogel is exchanged with surrounding tissue fluid, providing a natural implant. The hydrogel is injected just under the skin using a Fine needle, where it immediately adopts its long-lasting shape.
WHAT CAN AQUAMID® BE USED FOR?
Estheiis® can be used immediately with no prior test.The cohesivity and elasticity of the Esthelis® matrix allow treatment without overcorrection.The Esthelis® injection is administered by a professional docoter,and takes approximately 30 minutes to perform. After 24 to 48 hours, you will have an almost result, which is particularly stable and long lasting.The specific bio-degradation profile of Esthelis® optimizes its hydration and filling effect: this is the result of the CPM® technology.

HOW IS IT DONE?
Aquamid procedures require no hospitlisation or general anaesthetics. They are carried out as an almost painless out-patient procedure by a fully trained physicians or qualified nurse and require no recovery time. Once the procedure has been carried out, you are free to return home or go to work. A very fine needle is inserted just under the skin and the implant is injected adding volume. Results are instant and immediately visible, and the implant feels like a natural part of your face and body. Depending on the correction required, we suggest that several procedures are carried out with minimum 2 week interval. This is to ensure full satisfaction. Unlike other products, once the treatment has been concluded the hydrogel is not absorbed.
IS IT SAFE?
Yes. The Aquamid gel had been used in more than 200,000 injections since 2001. Tests have fully documented that the gel is non-toxic, non-allergenic, does not move and done not cause tissue hardening. A patient survey shows that 93% of patients remained satisfied with the result of their procedure five years after injection.
